Kampereen K3 First Test Setup

There were a lot of things that were new about the Kampereen K3 design. Many more parts moving and folding in different ways and directions. Would the tent fold, would the bows stow and would the lid close?

Plus, this was a totally new tent design with new patterns that I had only recently made. Before I started cutting and sewing expensive fabric, I opted to get some inexpensive muslin fabric to use for testing. It doesn’t have the same weight as the real stuff and it’s a lot less stiff. So in some respects, that made it harder to sew together.

This video shows the first set up. Well, it shows the first documented setup. Yeah, I tried it a few times before I started shooting video.

Hey, that worked pretty well. Now I will have to suck it up and make a real tent out of the real material. No pressure!
